Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information RapVid collects, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

1. Account information. Your name, email address and the sign-in method you use.
2. Photos you upload. The photos you add in the studio so we can make your video. They may show faces, which can count as biometric or sensitive data in some places.
3. Topics and lyrics. The text you type into the studio.
4. Videos we make for you. The finished videos, their preview images and their settings.
5. Usage data. How you use the service, such as the pages you visit, features you use and errors you hit.
6. Device information. Device type, operating system and browser type.
7. Cookies. Small files that keep you signed in and remember your preferences. See our Cookie Policy.
8. Payment information. Purchases are handled by our payment provider. We receive the purchase details and status, not your full card number.

Your Photos

• Photos are stored privately. They are never shown publicly.
• Uploaded photos are processed by our storage and AI providers to make your video. Deleting a photo from RapVid storage does not automatically delete copies already received by those providers. See the retention details below.
• We never use your photos, topics, lyrics or videos to train AI models. Provider processing and retention are described below.
• We check photos and text before generating a video, to block content that breaks our AI Content & Consent Policy, such as photos of minors or public figures.
• We don't use photos to identify who someone is, and we don't build face profiles.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• make the videos you ask for and keep them in your account;
• check uploads and text for safety and policy violations;
• process payments and add credits to your account;
• send you service messages, such as when a video is ready or a payment goes through;
• answer support requests and takedown reports;
• prevent fraud, abuse of free credits and other misuse;
• understand how the service is used so we can improve it.

Service Providers

To run RapVid we share information with providers that process it on our behalf, only as needed to do their job:

• AI processing provider (SeeAPI) receive your photos, topic and lyrics, to generate your video.
• Cloud hosting and storage (Cloudflare) holds account data, photos and videos, to run the website and store files.
• Payment processor (Stripe) receives purchase and billing details, to take payments.
• Email provider receives your email address, to send account and service emails.

SeeAPI processes generation and safety requests using upstream AI models. Its own no-training commitment does not replace the terms of those upstream providers.

Some providers are located outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the providers above, we share it only:

• to comply with the law or a valid request from a public authority;
• to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us;
• as part of a sale or transfer of the service, in which case this policy continues to apply.

How Long We Keep Information

• Uploaded photos and provider copies: SeeAPI currently has no scheduled automatic expiry for stored input files, outputs, task information or moderation results, and retains API request logs for 60 days. Deletion from RapVid storage does not automatically delete provider-held copies. To request deletion, email contact@rapvid.ai; requests concerning provider-held copies require coordination with the relevant provider. See SeeAPI’s data-handling policy.
• Finished videos: kept in your account until you delete them. You can delete videos from My videos or request deletion by emailing contact@rapvid.ai.
• Account information: kept while your account is open. To request account closure or deletion of your personal information, email contact@rapvid.ai.
• Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Takedown reports: as long as needed to handle the report and any related legal claim.

Data Security

We use encryption in transit, private storage for photos, access controls and regular reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your Rights

To request access to, correction, export or deletion of your personal information, or to close your account, email contact@rapvid.ai. You can delete any video from My videos at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

RapVid is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and do not allow photos of anyone under 18. If you believe a minor's information or photo has been uploaded, contact contact@rapvid.ai and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will show the new date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you through the service.
