How to make an AI rap video

Make an AI rap video in five steps: choose photos, pick a stage, write a one-line topic, set quality and share. Includes common mistakes.

Short answer

To make an AI rap video, upload one clear, front-facing photo per performer, pick a stage, type a one-line topic and generate a short vertical video. The AI writes the lyrics and creates the beat, vocals and animated performance. Rendering takes several minutes; review the result before sharing.

This guide walks through how to make an AI rap video with RapVid, from choosing photos to reviewing the finished performance. The same five steps work for a rap duo with a friend, a birthday rap video or a pet rap video.

1. Choose your photos

Use one sharp, well-lit selfie per person, facing the camera with the mouth closed. Separate photos work better than a group shot, because each face needs its own reference. The photos can come from different places and years; the studio puts both performers on the same stage.

Only use photos of consenting adults, your own pets or original characters. Human-like illustrated characters must look clearly adult. See the AI content and consent policy for the full rules.

2. Pick a stage

The orange booth gives the performance a bright, simple backdrop. A rooftop adds a city skyline; a luxury lobby adds marble and warm gold light. For a cel-shaded cartoon look, choose the anime stage.

3. Write a one-line topic

Names plus one specific detail beat a long brief. “Jess and Andre, best friends since band camp” works; a paragraph does not. Topics that name celebrities or real public figures are rejected.

Already have bars? Switch to Lyrics mode and pick a flow. Keep your input within 500 characters and the word limit for the chosen length: 18 words at 6 seconds, 36 at 12 seconds or 45 at 15 seconds. [Verse] and [Hook] labels are optional and are not sung. For a playful argument, the AI rap battle generator creates a 12 or 15-second exchange.

4. Choose quality and length

Start with Standard at 12 seconds in vertical 9:16 for TikTok and Reels. A 12-second duo script gives each performer two lines. At 15 seconds, a duo adds one final line together. Standard and Premium both output 720p; square 1:1 and wide 16:9 formats are also available.

5. Generate, review and share

Watch the result and check the sung words, faces and hand-off between performers. AI performances can vary from the script. For Lyrics mode, shorter lines can help when preparing another take. When you post, keep the AI-generated label on the video and switch on the platform’s AI-content disclosure.

Common mistakes

  • Sunglasses, masks or heavy filters on a face
  • Using one group photo for two performers
  • Topics that name celebrities or real public figures
  • Long lyric lines that the mouth can’t keep up with
